Vulnerability of municipality web applications

DongIT demonstrated the vulnerability of municipality web applications at the TYPO3gem workshop on security. Examples were given in the associated municipalities of TYPO3gem. The demonstration showed how a hacker could take over a DigiD-session from any logged-in visitor. During October, vulnerabilities were published with the subject 'Lektober' on Webwereld. Vulnerabilities were published daily to show the public how vulnerable government websites are. DongIT had the honor of being the first to be published.

As a result, Nieuwsuur, Dutch quality and educational television program, made a news item about security problems within governmental websites. Nieuwsuur visited DongIT to interview Wouter van Dongen on his findings.
